The mental health theme blended perfectly with the beauty of the surrounding nature…

I will remember the exchange fondly, as this was my first time in a leadership role. The organizers did an excellent job of ensuring integration among the participants so that we could get to know each other better and open ourselves to exchanging insights. As stated by the organizers, the mental health theme blended perfectly with the beauty of the surrounding nature. Liptod, although cut off from the world, had a cosy environment to offer us, where we had a space to rest from the daily hustle and bustle and to reflect. The place of our accommodation offered the best locally made Hungarian specialities that we wouldn’t have experienced anywhere else. The activities were carried out in an interesting and varied manner, focusing on the themes of well-being, yoga and outdoor activities, but also allowing us to focus on inner development and awareness of our emotions. I encourage you to participate in non-formal education mobilities because nowhere else will you experience such a development of your skills as when facing the challenges that await you from the very first moment of signing up and taking part in the exchange to leading the dissemination event. International trips are the best opportunity to get to know and better understand members of other cultures. Every international project is an event that broadens our horizons.

I learned a lot about mental health, but I also got to know more about myself…

I’m glad that I was part of this exchange. I was able to take a break from a very stressful life at school for a while and feel more connected to nature; literally, we were in the middle of nowhere. It was hard to catch a signal sometimes, but that let us socialize more. I learned a lot about mental health, but I also got to know more about myself. The best moments were when we had meals. Our cooks were wonderful, and we always asked for seconds. I’m very grateful for the help from both LEVEL UP and the organizer, as well as our awesome leader, Ola.
I encourage you to take part in non-formal education mobilities because non-formal learning is a much better way of acquiring knowledge. I recommend such trips to everyone because you have a chance to meet great people and learn more about interesting topics.

The setting of the youth exchange was very charming and let me relax…

The setting of the youth exchange was very charming and let me relax. Liptód is a small village, which allowed me to learn more closely about the traditions, culture, and customs. The cooks were incredibly talented, and we had a chance to eat traditional Hungarian dishes, which got us closer to the Hungarian culture. The organizers were very helpful, and I felt taken care of, both during the activities and throughout the entirety of the exchange. Participating in this project allowed me to improve my English speaking skills. I also met wonderful people from various countries and became familiar with their cultures, especially during the intercultural night. Some of my fondest memories from the project are preparing make-up and costumes together for the Halloween party and dancing traditional dances from all the different countries. I encourage you to take part in international trips, as they let you learn about the culture of other countries and their traditions. Such projects let you socialize with people from other countries, and you can even make international friends.

The classes were taught by wonderful women who gave their best so that we had a great time…

I remember the exchange fondly. Thanks to it, I developed my knowledge of mental health, met incredible people, tasted delicious Hungarian cuisine, and spent ten days in a charming village in Hungary. The classes were taught by wonderful women who gave their best so that we had a great time. Thanks to that, we gain knowledge on various topics, including what to remember in difficult moments and what categories we divide emotions into. We also learn about cognitive distortions we create and how to counteract them. I think that the knowledge acquired there is really useful. What’s more, it was passed on interestingly. I would especially like to thank our leader, who not only supported us but also acted as a friend.
I think that everyone should take advantage of the opportunity of a youth exchange at least once. It’s a great chance to develop your language skills, discover new cultures, and meet wonderful people.

I have very fond memories of the exchange. The place where we stayed was incredibly peaceful and we were surrounded by nature on all sides. We were provided with delightful Hungarian cuisine. I met people of many nationalities there and had the opportunity to learn about other cultures and customs. I was able to easily integrate with people from other countries through activities. The organizers exuded positive energy and put their hearts into preparing the classes and activities for us. LEVEL UP supported us at all times, answered any questions we might have, and made sure we had the necessary documentation before the exchange. I encourage you to participate in non-formal education mobilities, as I consider them to be the best opportunity to develop your social skills and get acquainted with spoken English. They also let you discover different cultures and meet incredible people.

The project coordinators were very open-minded, helpful, and open to communication…

At first, the exchange was a bit of a shock for me; we found ourselves in a small village without a store or internet and in one room with ten people! Despite these difficulties, I quickly managed to get used to it, and after some time, I can say that I needed such a break from reality. During the project, I met some great people, especially those from the Polish team. We quickly got on well, and after just a few hours we spent together, we would turn any situation into a joke. I’ll fondly remember our preparations for the Halloween party and our naps on a single bed after dinner. As for the food, it was delicious! We ate mostly traditional Hungarian dishes, through which I learned more about the culture of the country. The activities were carried out in very interesting ways. We learned different types of emotions and how to deal with them. The project coordinators were very open-minded, helpful, and open to communication. Similarly, I’m very grateful to LEVEL UP for their support and for providing the necessary information. I would especially like to thank the Polish team for a time well spent, for every conversation, and for all the jokes. I encourage you to take part in non-formal education mobilities because they’re a brilliant opportunity to discover your potential, get out of your comfort zone, and meet wonderful people.

I learned how to aid myself in difficult situations and how to deal with my emotions…

I have very fond memories of the exchange. The project allowed me to learn a lot about both mental health and myself. I learned how to aid myself in difficult situations and how to deal with my emotions. I met many interesting people from different corners of Europe, with whom I was able to share and gain knowledge about our cultures and traditions. The thing that surprised me the most was Budapest, the capital of Hungary, which impressed me much less than I had imagined it would. Also a shock to me were the national stores, which were the only places where adults could buy cigarettes. I think this is a great solution, seeing as how easily available they are in Poland, and how, as a result, more and more young people turn to this type of drug. The trip also allowed me to break the language barrier, which hindered me terribly when travelling abroad. I’m grateful for every moment spent with the wonderful people I could meet on this exchange. Also, I have to praise LEVEL UP itself, which always supported me and helped me with any problems I encountered on the trip. I would also like to thank Ola, who took care of our group the entire time. I think that such trips help people learn about foreign cultures and traditions. I recommend the Erasmus project to any young person. I think that everyone should experience something like this at least once in their lives.
