I learned how work with youth looks like in open conditions and what characterizes such work…
I consider the project as very successful. The organizers ensured the best conditions to absorb knowledge which was transmitted to us by the trainer. I learned how work with youth looks like in open conditions and what characterizes such work. Moreover, I’m deeply thankful for meeting many valuable young people who were sharing their perspectives. The things, I learned during the trip, will be very useful in my professional life as well as personal life.

The subject about working with the youth was extremely inspiring,
and the knowledge I gained was simply invaluable…
The training was incredible, and it surely formed my best experience from Erasmus+ program! The subject about working with the youth was extremely inspiring, and the knowledge I gained was simply invaluable… Not only were the trainers extremely qualified, but also it was noticeable that this was their greatest passion – the involvement and love for work was infectious. Meeting other foreign participants
was fascinating, and our cooperation was extremely fruitful.
I’m deeply thankful for the possibility of participating in this project. I gained not only new and valuable experience, but also I had a chance to spend the week in a beautiful town located in the mountains, where the atmosphere was simply magical!
LEVEL UP organisation supported me during the whole duration of the training, including the preparations before and during the project. Their involvement and help were very useful in purchasing tickets and organising the whole trip 🙂
This was a really wonderful project which brought me a lot of knowledge, unforgettable moments and valuable contacts. I’m thankful for this chance and all the new lessons that I gained from this event.

The hospitality of Slovenes, who tried to help us every step of the way, even without knowing English, was a great surprise…
I remember the exchange very well. The place, where we stayed, was completely something new to me because it was located in a small, charming, alpine town. The hospitality of Slovenes, who tried to help us every step of the way, even without knowing English, was a great surprise. The group of organisers itself was great, as they took us to different types of restaurants almost every day, to get to know local culture
and cuisine, shared knowledge about culture and local traditions. What is more, they were very outgoing and they wanted us to spend the best time there.
The subject about exchange was very interesting, and the additional advantage was the fact, that we could bring our ideas into effect by organising fun activities for local children. LEVEL UP supported us during the whole project, by giving advice and helping with the necessary paperwork.

During the training, we had the opportunity to visit Idrija with the
guide, look inside the oldest mining houses and listen to interesting stories in the 500 years old mercury mine…
From 16 to 23 October I had the opportunity to take part in a training course in Slovenia, in a charming town 60 km from the capital, Idrija.
The topic of the course was Youth Street Work. It was about how to get the youth away from computers or TVs and encourage them to do outdoor games and fun activities. The course participants were the youth workers from Bulgaria, Greece, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovenia.
We stayed in a hostel called Mladinski Center run by the youth organisation located in the center of Idrija- the oldest, Slovene mining town.
The classes were conducted by the qualified trainers from Mladinski Center Idrija “Street Dragons” from Ljubljana. They told us about their experiences, working with the youth on the street and they taught us how to prepare own games and fun activities.
During the training, we had the opportunity to visit Idrija with the guide, look inside the oldest mining houses and listen to interesting stories in the 500 years old mercury mine.
The organisers also tried to show us their town from the culinary side – they took us to restaurants for regional food almost every day.
Not only is the course theoretical but also practical – as a task, we had to get to know the local youth and their favourite places, and have fun with them.
The host organisation’s van, full of various balls, games, sport equipment, used to visit the youth in remote alpine villages was an innovative idea for me.
I’m grateful to LEVEL UP organisation for giving me the opportunity to participate in this course. It was very useful in my work with the youth, I learned how to organise free time for them in a creative and media-free way. We received a warm welcome in Slovenia, although it rained almost all the time and the aura wasn’t suitable for trips.
I came back home full of many impressions and ideas. I highly recommend everyone to participate in a similar Erasmus course.
IT’S REALLY WORTH IT.
