Sharing knowledge, gaining experience

The project’s aim is to share knowledge and experiences of the realisation of community-based activities, especially the activation of young people. The education process will focus on teaching young people and strengthening the knowledge and experience of 5 LEVEL UP leaders who will share their experience gained in Poland with leaders and organisations in Reykjavik.

Activities to be carried out in the project:

• 4-day visit to Reykjavik of LEVEL UP leaders
• meeting the main hosting institution, but also with their local partners and their representatives from the youth centre, university, NGOs and observation of their daily activities and projects.

What we do during the project:

•  Meetings, workshops, observation of work and activities with youth, among 4 local institutions (including the formal partner)
•  a study visit with job shadowing elements
• meeting with leaders, CEOs, CSOs and institutions’ heads, conversations and discussions
•  getting acquainted with the way of functioning of the youth centre in Iceland 
•  development of the team leaders’ knowledge in the area of implementing activities to activate young people with fewer opportunities – e.g. activities involving migrants
•  LEVEL UP will share its experience in the implementation of the volunteering and e-volunteering programme
• learning about methods of working with youth with regard to inclusion, increasing self-esteem, social involvement, increasing access and equal opportunities in education
• getting to know inspirations for intergenerational initiatives, linking young people and seniors
• learning about inspiration for nature-based activities that help the youth spend more time outdoors
• learning about projects involving social, financial and educational support for people with fewer opportunities through workshops, mentoring and cross-cultural activities for young people
