The Mobility Roadshow Our EU 2024 project was definitely one of the most original projects I had the chance to take part in. It’s rare to find opportunities that you want to take part in from the first time you hear about them, but that’s exactly what this trip was for me. During the project, I not only met many wonderful people but also learned to cooperate with them as a community and solve problems taking into account the opinion of each person in the group. This project not only connected every nationality involved in it, but also helped us broaden our point of view by establishing relationships with people at a different life stage, who were able to share their experiences and stories. One of the less obvious things that surprised me during the project was how similar to each other we are, being from completely different countries; and the fact that we share not only the same problems but also traditions and values. As a vegetarian, I was of course afraid of what our meals would look like in each country during our journey, but these fears were quickly forgotten as in each place there were different meal options, which doesn’t always happen. Of course, language can always be a barrier when travelling abroad, but from my perspective, it was not a problem at all, and even if you encountered some language barriers or you couldn’t find a word, you could always turn to people from your own country who were always willing to help. I am extremely grateful not only for having an opportunity to take part in such a project but also for meeting people I’ve met and have formed a closer bond with some of them. One of my favourite memories from the trip is the moment when I and some people woke up much earlier than the rest of the group and went to a swimming pool and for a walk. I think it is one of the situations that allowed us to get to know each other better in a small group, and also a great opportunity to share our passions. As with every trip, something had to go wrong, on this one too. In my case, it was an hours-long delay of the plane. Even though the situation was stressful in which I wasn’t sure what to do, the project organisers helped me as much as they could and showed support. I would like to thank the organisers for making it possible for us to take part in the project and the people participating in it for making common memories and an amazing atmosphere.
In my opinion, this type of trip is truly a unique opportunity and every person who enjoys meeting new people and travelling would find it great on such a trip.

The project was a special chance for me to develop and gain unique knowledge about EU and V4 in an ideal environment for it. Each country we visited showed us its distinctive atmosphere and at the same time proved how close the whole Visegrad Group is to each other. The unique concept of the project gave me a chance to test my skills in fast travelling and frequent changing of location. I met amazing, inspiring people, with whom I stayed in touch even after the project was over and with whom I felt a real connection. A unique part of visiting each country was trying its cuisine, each place we visited offered us delicious dishes, typical of their region, which gave us a lot of cultural experience. The part of all the trips that I particularly enjoyed was the city games organised in each city and giving a chance to walk quickly around the majority of the most important and worth seeing places. I also remembered the farewells when I realised that a return to everyday life was coming and noticed how much I got used to the presence of all the people I met there.
I would show all the photos from the trip and tell you how much you can learn in 12 days. I definitely recommend this type of trips because it gives you the chance to meet people from all over Europe and test yourself in a new environment.
