Practice of tolerance
A 2020 Eurobarometer survey showed that 75% of young people in online and offline debates have encountered hate speech, which is understood as expressions that promote racial hatred, xenophobia, anti-Semitism or intolerance. Hate speech is the most frequently cited illegal content in some countries and, untreated, can normalise violence. This project aims to equip youth workers with the tools to recognise, challenge and transform hate speech. The project aims to enhance the skills of youth workers to deal with hate speech and support transformation in youth settings, focusing on culturally diverse communities such as minorities, the Roma, refugees and migrants. The project will take place in Lithuania. LEVEL UP will be represented by 4 people from Poland.
