Inclusive Pathways in Youth Work
Inclusive Pathways in Youth Work to międzynarodowy projekt, którego celem jest wyposażenie osób pracujących z młodzieżą w narzędzia, które pomogą im wspierać osoby doświadczające dyskryminacji. Poprzez warsztaty i dyskusję, uczestnicy będą mogli rozszerzyć swoją wiedzę o inkluzywności i wspólnie poszerzyć swoją wiedzę w tematyce równości i różnorodności.
Activities to be undertaken in the project:
- Study visit (7 days). An international study visit for youth workers, including visits to various youth organisations and institutions supporting activities of young people. The activity involves observing working methods, learning about good practices, participating in meetings with employees of the organisation and question and answer sessions. Each partner is responsible for presenting their own model of youth work and the challenges they face in their local context.
- Preparatory visit: A meeting to start the project, to introduce the partners, discuss the objectives of the study visit, the programme and the rules of cooperation. The session includes integration elements, short team-building exercises and joint setting of expectations.
- Group discussions and peer-to-peer exchange. Moderated group discussions during which participants analyse observed methods of working with young people, compare experiences from their own countries and share good practices. The activity is reflective and focused on mutual learning.
- Learning through observation. Participants observe the daily work of youth organisations, looking at real activities, projects and tools used in working with young people. Each observation is accompanied by the opportunity to ask questions and talk to the organisation’s teams.
- Summary and reflection session – closing the project, focusing on summarising the knowledge gained, identifying key conclusions and discussing the possibilities of implementing the solutions learned in the participants’ local environments.
- Networking and informal activities. Informal meetings conducive to building relationships between participants and project partners, exchanging contacts and initiating future international cooperation in the field of youth work.
What we do during the project:
- Raise awareness about various models and methods of youth work used in non-governmental organisations and youth institutions.
- Gain new skills connected with engaging young people in social, civic, and local initiatives.
- Learn how to effectively motivate young people to actively participate in projects and decision-making processes.
- Develop professional skills through observation, reflection and exchange of experiences with other youth work practitioners.
- Analyse the challenges that the youth sector is facing and ways of responding to the needs of young people in different countries.
- Collect practical tools and good practices that can be adapted to the local environments of participants.
- Strengthen attitudes of openness, international cooperation and learning from each other.
