The Power of Photography in Youth Work

The Power of Photography in Youth Work is aimed at young people from different backgrounds who wish to enhance their skills and competencies in photography.

It’s designed to familiarise the participants with varying degrees of knowledge with the use of professional equipment, teach a creative and out-of-the-box approach to photography, and present innovative methods of learning and conveying information.

Activities to be undertaken in the project:

Training course including 30 young people from 6 countries: Poland, Spain, France, Cyprus, Romania, and Italy.

The aim is to provide the participants with:

new skills related to photography methods,

supporting civic responsibility and social engagement among the youth,

learning international cooperation,

developing creative thinking,

working on communication skills and expressing one’s own perspectives,

promoting innovative ideas,

developing the culture of creativity in organisations.

What we do during the project:

During the 9 months of project duration, 30 youth workers participating in it will:

learn using at least 4 unconventional education methods based on photography, which will increase engagement of the youth,
experience increased self-confidence and will to introduce artistic and creative methods related to photography in their youth work,
develop their skills in modern photography techniques and better understand the functions of a professional camera.
