Resport
The ReSport project aims to modernize, transform and revitalize European traditional sports and games (ETSG) and adapt them to the trends and requirements of the 21st century. One of the key issues addressed by the project is the use of modern technological solutions to promote and popularize ETSG among younger generations. Participation in the ETSG does not only contribute to improving the physical activity rates of European citizens. Games and sports competitions are often considered platforms that effectively bring people together, regardless of their origin, while conveying values such as solidarity, diversity, acceptance, cultural awareness and peace.
Through the collaboration of five partners from five different European countries, the ReSport project aims to integrate European traditional sports and games into the everyday life of young European citizens (aged 16-30) as a way to meet today’s pressing social challenges, such as physical inactivity, a sedentary lifestyle and low levels of socialization.
Duration of the project:
1.01.2021-30.06.2022
Our aims and actions include:
- Modernization and promotion of European Traditional Sports and Games (ETSG) in order to create an attractive and accessible platform for young people through which it will be possible to increase the level of their physical activity.
- Developing innovative and modern educational methods in order to raise the qualifications of the staff of sports and youth groups, in particular trainers, instructors and volunteers, so that they can implement ETSG initiatives in their local communities.
