Emancipatory Simulations for Inclusive Societies
The project focuses on introducing emancipatory stimulations to support inclusive societies. It aims to equip professional youth workers with tools to transform conflicts in ways that promote inclusion and social justice. As part of the project, two key learning tools are being developed: a cultural conflict resolution simulation game and a role-play game related to international humanitarian negotiations. These tools help participants develop conflict resolution strategies with the inclusion of multiple perspectives. The project deepens understanding of social and cultural dynamics and inspires youth workers to fight injustice and apply this knowledge in their local communities. The main goal of the project is to promote emancipatory practices that support equality and prevent the perpetuation of prejudice, contributing to more inclusive and fair societies.

Activities to be undertaken in the project:
- organising a training course for 33 youth workers from 10 European countries to deepen their understanding of socio-cultural conflicts and conflict transformation strategies;
- introducing innovative learning tools such as simulation and role-playing games aimed to develop conflict transformation skills;
- developing intervention strategies to counter injustice and promote equality in local communities;
- facilitating the transfer of acquired knowledge and skills to youth work locally as well as internationally;
- initiating projects continuing the theme of conflict transformation at local and international levels.
What we do during the project:
- We introduce emancipation simulations: Participants will be introduced to a simulation game that allows them to resolve cultural conflicts and promote diversity.
- We learn negotiation in an international context: Through role-play, participants practice negotiating humanitarian issues and learn effective conflict resolution.
- We develop strategies for conflict transformation: Participants create and implement strategies to resolve conflicts including different perspectives.
- We deepen our understanding of socio-cultural dynamics: Participants learn how to use the gained knowledge to fight injustice in their local communities.
- We promote emancipatory practices: Participants learn about methods that challenge existing power structures, promote equality and prevent the perpetuation of prejudice.
