All tracks lead to Rome

All tracks lead to Rome is an international educational and development project that combines history, travel, and learning through experience. Participants will set off on a 12-day journey, the central point of which will be Italy – a cradle of European civilisation and Roman law. The project allows young people to experience antique heritage live and not from textbooks, at the same time developing their autonomy, social, language and organisational competences and strengthening their sense of belonging to the European community.

Actions that will be undertaken during the project:

• A 12-day journey during which 36 participants and 12 team leaders will visit historical places in Italy and work in international teams.
• 12 educational and historical workshops in museums and on archaeological sites, deepening knowledge of antiquity and European heritage.
• Storytelling and digital workshops during which participants will prepare 48 blog entries (“travel memories”) and 12 video materials from the journey.
• Team-building activities and team games strengthening cooperation, communication and responsibility.
• An educational/urban game, implemented during the first days of the project, developing organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
• 12 coaching meetings supporting setting goals, developing awareness and confidence of participants.
• Promoting events, with at least 480 local participants, that present project results.
• 1 newsletter concerning travelling in Europe by train.
• 48 Youthpass certificates issued, confirming acquired competences.
• 48 blog articles – a.k.a. “travel memories” in which participants will describe their own experience, impressions and reflections about travelling over Europe.
• Excellent reports from journeys published on a project Instagram profile.

What we do during the project:

• We increase awareness of European cultural heritage and ancient history.
• We acquire new competences in the scope of teamwork, communication and international cooperation.
• We learn to manage the project, time and budget in practice.
• We create educational campaigns and multimedia reports documenting the journey.
• We develop linguistic competencies through everyday interaction in international groups.
• We counteract cultural barriers and promote diversity and intercultural dialogue.
• We strengthen the confidence and independence of participants through active participation and decision-making during the project.
