I left Romania enriched by all the conversations I had with other participants and the smiles we exchanged…

Although the project “Info to Impact” wasn’t the best organised or most substantive, every experience can bring something positive. I’m glad I could meet people from different countries, visit Romania for the first time in my life, and see Dracula’s castle in person.

During the first day of the project, we were asked to list our fears about the upcoming days. I wrote on my card: “I’m scared I won’t learn anything.” Actually, I didn’t learn much about the project topic, and my fear was fulfielled in that sense; however, I left Romania enriched by all the conversations I had with other participants and the smiles we exchanged.

I’m grateful to the sending organisation for enabling me to go on this trip, even though it didn’t meet my expectations, and I thank all the other participants for helping me feel that this time wasn’t wasted.

I think it’s always worth taking part in such a trip and I recommend it to everyone. Every trip is different and teaches us something new. It’s a great opportunity to meet wonderful people, learn something about yourself, and often use our time efficiently.

We could prepare our own exhibition together and see how important teamwork is…

The training in Romania was an exceptional experience for me. It’s all thanks to the people from different countries I met there. We could talk or laugh together.

I learnt a lot about fake news, we could prepare our own exhibition together and see how important teamwork is. Every day we were preparing a newspaper in pairs that often described our experiences in a funny way.  The organisers were friendly and supportive.

The biggest barrier for me was the great distance between the accommodation and the activity location. Of all the evenings, I remember the karaoke evening most fondly. I had a great time!

I recommend the Erasmus+ trips to everyone. It’s an incredible opportunity to broaden the horizons, meet wonderful people and experience the local culture.

Diversity – the word that best describes “Info to Impact”…

The training course “Info to Impact” enabled me to develop competencies in digital participation among youth and counteracting disinformation and manipulation on the internet. However, the most valuable element of this project was meeting people from different countries in Europe – from Portugal to Azerbaijan.

This diversity enriched my outlook on the world with new experiences. Moreover, the participation in this course in a small town of the Hungarian minority was a particularly interesting experience for me. I saw signs in Hungarian everywhere, even though I was in Romania!

I would definitely recommend, and I do, the Erasmus+ trips, ESC or youth exchanges under the Erasmus+ to all my friends. It’s a unique opportunity to broaden your horizons and get to know Europe better.

The greatest value of these trip were the people I met there…

In May, I had an opportunity to participate in a training course, “Info to Impact” in Sfântu Gheorghe, Romania. The project unfortunately didn’t entirely meet my expectations – the workshops were not well-prepared, the vegetarian meals could have been better, and the organisation seemed a bit chaotic at times. Nonetheless, I’m glad I could participate in this experience.

The greatest value of this trip were the people I met there – especially the Polish team I spent a lot of time with outside of the classes. Conversations, walks, and evenings full of laughter compensated for the shortcomings in the substantive part of the project.

I’m also glad I could visit Romania again – a country I like a lot. Beautiful views full of greenery, mountains, and charming towns impress me just as much every time. One of the best moments was a trip to Bran Castle, the famous “Dracula’s castle”.

Many thanks to the LEVEL UP Association for their support both before and during the project – we could always count on their help and understanding.

I recommend the Erasmus+ trips to every young person because they’re a great opportunity to leave your own comfort zone, and meet many fascinating people you would have never met in daily life or even during private trips.
