Say no to racism
The project, developed by InnoEdu and its European partners, aims to respond to growing concerns about racism and the need to strengthen intercultural dialogue among young people in the EU. It uses music, dance and other artistic forms as innovative tools for non-formal education. The initiative aims to support 66 young people from different cultural backgrounds in developing intercultural competences and improving youth work skills in 11 youth organisations. These organisations will be equipped with creative methods that will allow them to offer youth work of high-quality; responsive to cultural differences.
Duration of the project:
01-01-2024 – 30-06-2025
Reference number:
2023-3-RO01-KA152-YOU-000171426
Actions to be undertaken in the project
- Participants will increase their intercultural competences by using music as a method of informal learning
- Participants will deepen their understanding of Erasmus+ and youth exchanges
- Participants will learn how to plan, realise and evaluate a local youth event aimed at eliminating racism and increasing intercultural discussion
- Participants will understand how music can support international conversation and prevent bigotry among different ethnic groups.
- Participants will understand culture and cultural diversity in general.
What we do during the project:
- support young people from diverse cultural backgrounds in order to improve their intercultural competences
- develop guidelines for the use of music as a non-formal learning method to inspire intercultural dialogue among young people from diverse cultural backgrounds
- strengthen young people’s skills and knowledge necessary to constructively engage with multicultural environments and actively combat racism by creating a photoblog about music
- strengthen the competences of young people of diverse cultural backgrounds in the field of tackling racism and promoting inclusive communication
- promote diversity, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue, common values of freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights among participants.
