Obchody Dnia Wolontariusza 2025 – Laury Zasłużonych

On the 5th of December, we celebrate Volunteer Day, and on this occasion, LEVEL UP Association has decided to appreciate once again the most active Volunteers.

The second edition of the Volunteer Day Celebrations “Laureates of Merit” project will begin in the fall of 2025, and representatives of non-governmental organisations from Łódź or operating in Łódź will be invited to participate, along with their volunteers and beneficiaries of the LNC social projects.

The first edition of this event was held in 2024. At this time, 90 people took part in this event. We received 48 applications from candidates, 5 winners were selected, and 10 volunteers were honoured. This year, we will once again organise an event to appreciate the most active activists from/in favour of  Łódź, who give as much as they can from the goodness of their hearts.

During the celebration of Volunteer Day, 5 prizewinners (individuals or submitted as a “group of volunteers” in the case of joint action) will be selected again, who will be awarded the Laurel of Merit, and 10 additional awards will be given.

For submission, a nomination of volunteers will be made available with an application form directed to non-governmental organisations in the city of Łódź.

Actions that will be undertaken during a project:

• A competition for the most deserving social activists from Łódź city, or those who work in favour of Łódź city
•  A competition for the most volunteer-friendly organisation
• A session of the Competition Jury
• Selection of the winners
• Event on  December 5, 2025, at the Łódź Non-Governmental Centre, with the announcement of the results and awarding of prizes to the winners, we plan, among other things, the following:
• Motivational lecture
• Panel discussion about volunteering
• A performance of volunteers who will share their experience gained during volunteering and present opportunities in the framework of foreign volunteering
• Presentation of awards for the most deserving community activists and honouring Łódź organisations recognised as the most volunteer-friendly.

What we do during a project:

During the event, we plan to:

• emphasise the value of volunteering, regardless of the age of participants and the area of activity
• increase the motivation and involvement of volunteers working in favour of Lodz city, and promote the idea of volunteering
• encourage organisations to take actions that reward and appreciate their volunteers
