Less plastic more life

The project “Less Plastic more life” sets an ambitious goal of raising awareness among young people about the increasing challenges related to climate change and plastic pollution. These environmental challenges are partly a result of insufficiently sustainable and future-oriented national policies. Despite previous efforts, we face serious challenges associated with the use and disposal of plastic, environmental pollution, and the necessity of implementing effective recycling. The Covid pandemic introduced new challenges, such as the widespread use of non-recyclable composite materials in masks and disinfectants, which pose a new threat to the environment.

Actions that will be taken during the project:

A youth exchange in which 42 participants from 6 countries, Italy, Romania, Spain, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Poland, will take part.

During the project, various activities will be carried out to give young people the opportunity to understand recycling and waste reduction, develop innovative ideas for creative environmental campaigns, and raise awareness among young people about the importance of avoiding the creation of new waste. The activities that will be carried out during the exchange will be as follows:

day of storytelling and experiences
exploration of nature: conducted tours around the Porto Conte Nature Park in Alghero,
cleaning the beach,
creative building using recycled beach plastic,
interviews with local residents,
intercultural evenings,
film creation classes
workshops on planning future events: participants will be involved in creating and planning future events related to sustainable environmental development.

During these events, we will use icebreakers, energisers and role-playing games to actively involve participants and fully integrate them with the educational experience.
