Get the Net
Project “Get the net” is aimed at promoting international integration as well as developing and building local communities. The project aims to activate young people, strengthen their civil competencies, promote mental health and increase awareness about threats and possibilities in the digital world. We care about the involvement of young people in decision-making processes and various forms of local democracy, as well as shaping themselves and their self-esteem in the world.
We intend to promote positive use of media and artificial intelligence, counteract cyberbullying and show the importance of mental wellbeing and ways to achieve inner balance.
Actions that will be taken during the project:
- Simulation of the City Council- familiarising participants with political and democratic procedures in society, offering an insight into forms of local democracy
- Training for Coaches – training future coaching staff, shaping competences in the field of conducting activities for young people
- creation of Youth Working Groups and their meetings that are aimed at approaching the topic of taking social initiatives in their environments
- creating an internet radio – producing four episodes in the form of internet podcasts aimed at inspiring discussion, raising awareness, and spurring young people into action
- conducting Open Days: meetings aimed at explaining the benefits and development opportunities arising from European cooperation
What do we do during the project:
- We introduce young people to the topic of cybersecurity and taking care of their virtual well-being.
- We shape positive habits among young people related to mental health
- We show the benefits of civic engagement of young people
- We present the ways of working as well as the possibilities offered by the possibility to use of international programs and trainings.
- We learn how to viably influence our local environment and how to proceed in the environment of “bureaucracy”
