Communication without borders
The project is aimed at organising 15 intergenerational workshops in Warsaw during which participants practise effective communication. The need for such action stems from our past experiences (we have experience in conducting intergenerational projects), a survey conducted among Varsovians and also in-depth interviews among participants of the foregoing projects. Development of intergenerational communication competencies is essential, even if only because of the age diversity on the labour market and generational thinking and negative stereotypes occurring in this area.
Actions that will be taken during the projects:
- 15 sessions of intergenerational workshops (3 cycles of 5 workshops in each)
- 3 follow-up meetings – one after each cycle
- 2 promoting events online
- 2 promoting offline events in municipal institutions
- Textbook of good practices in terms of intergenerational communication
- Sharing results and materials to local community
What we do during a project:
- Increase awareness in terms of intergenerational communication.
- Strengthen the competencies of participants in creating effective relations between generations.
- Create a space for dialogue and exchanging perspectives between people of different ages.
- During the workshops, we enable participants to learn communication tools in practice.
- Support setting new competencies through organising follow-up meetings.
- Promote conscious communication.
