Brücke: Trilateral Youth Exchange Through Theatre
The ‘Brücke’ project aims at connecting youth from Germany, Poland, and Ukraine through theatre as a space for an intercultural dialogue and creative cooperation. The participants, working on a performance together, will take up topics of diversity, identity, and unity, as well as they will improve their artistic and social skills. During the exchange, there will be workshops, cultural evenings, joint rehearsals and a final performance. The project aims to build mutual understanding, shape democratic attitudes, promote tolerance and create lasting networks of cooperation among young people in Europe.
Activities to be undertaken in the project:
- A meeting and online workshops
- Acting training
- Theatre rehearsals
- Joint preparation of the play and its presentation during the final evening
- Intercultural nights aiming at bringing together people from three countries
What we do during the project:
- Develop the participants’ skills in expressing themselves through performing arts
- Raise awareness about cultural diversity and examples of its usage in everyday life
- Create performing art aimed at building awareness in the field of tolerance, democracy, diversity, and preventing exclusion
