Train the Trainers
The Train the Trainers project is a practical and interactive training aimed at beginner trainers or people who plan to start their adventure in training. Its goal is to develop competencies in planning, leading and evaluating educational classes in offline and online form. The participants will learn how to design training scenarios, select appropriate methods and exercises, handle difficult situations and efficiently engage the group.
The project aims to enhance self-confidence, develop communication skills and increase the quality of educational actions held in the communities.
Activities to be undertaken in the project:
The programme includes a practical preparatory visit to Łódź, a 7-day training course in Porszewice comprising workshops, simulations, mini-lectures, group work, and individual exercises. The participants will develop their skills in planning, leading and evaluating training, as well as working with a group in offline and online environments.
- Preparatory visit in Łódź – a meeting with partner organisations’ representatives aiming to discuss the details of the programme, division of tasks, participants’ needs and project’s logistics aspects. The visit will allow a better preparation of the main training and ensure its high quality.
- Practical workshops – focused on developing specific trainers’ competencies, such as communication, time management, participants’ involvement and managing difficult situations.
- Simulations and mini-trainings of the participants – each participant will prepare and lead their own part of the class, receiving constructive feedback from the group and trainers.
- Intercultural and integration activities – aimed to build cooperation between participants from different countries, and share experiences and good practices.
- Evaluation and dissemination of the results – participants jointly work on recommendations and educational resources for beginner trainers, which will be shared in partner organisations after the project finishes.
What we do during the project:
- We develop training competencies and learn how to plan the whole training process (from analysis of the needs to evaluation).
- We acquire skills in conducting workshops engagingly and interactively.
- We learn how to effectively manage the group and adjust work methods to different types of participants.
- We develop communication skills, presentations and trainers’ auto-presentation.
- We learn techniques for managing stress and difficult situations during workshops.
- We get competencies in leading workshops online using digital tools.
- We build an international network and exchange experiences between trainers from different countries.
- We learn how to impart knowledge in an inspiring way, while supporting the development of others.
