During the project, I had an opportunity to become acquainted with myself, the culture of participants from other countries and make use of my knowledge of the English language in practice.
From this experience, I gained great acquaintances, memories, and valuable knowledge about mental health that I can use now in my daily life. I met people from all over Europe who spot similar problems in their communities and also want to develop themselves and implement positive changes in the world. I also met wonderful girls from Poland, whom I wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to meet, because each of us lives in a different part of the country.
I remember very well the meals prepared according to the local cuisine and organizing
workshops that provided plenty of time for conversations, both in reflection groups and with my “buddy” and other participants. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to experience this amazing adventure which I would not have been able to afford without the financial support of the Erasmus+ programme. Throughout the project, I could count on the appropriate support of the coordinators from the LEVEL UP Association which certainly helped my parents feel calmer knowing that I was safe.
To encourage others to take part in Erasmus youth exchanges, I would talk about
the benefits of participating in such projects and my own
experiences.
Gabriela, 16 years old, “Mindful Youth” youth exchange, Kőröshegy Hungary

Going on the exchange I didn’t know what to expect.
The topic of this exchange was mental health, during these 7 days, we spent a lot of time reflecting on topics related to well-being, assertiveness, and cooperating with other people. I’ve met many funny and nice people and I’ve learned a lot about their culture and customs. During cultural evenings I could have a taste of popular sweets or snacks. If something happened, the organizers were always ready to help out. I’ve visited many beautiful places that certainly will stay in my memory.
I think that the best way to encourage people to go on such a trip is just to tell them about my own experience and to show photos and videos.
Klaudia, “Mindful Youth” youth exchange, Kőröshegy Hungary

The “Mindful Youth” project was my first trip with the Erasmus+ programme. I went there with some fears, I wanted to open myself to experiences and I can proudly say that I did it.
I also had to get out of my comfort zone and the girls from the Polish team helped me to do that. They have been a huge support for me and also an inspiration for performing and developing myself. Time spent with them was full of positive energy and our shared memories will stay with me for a very long time. But it wasn’t just the Poles who stole my heart – every participant in this project was unique and had a lot to offer. Our group was very integrated, open, and communicative, it was difficult for us to say goodbye and I still keep in touch with some of them. We also had an opportunity to pair up with Tereza, a lovable Czech who was for us like another participant from the Polish team. The workshops themselves were interesting, related to the project’s theme, and conducted in the right way. I also really liked the trip to Lake Balaton and I regret a little bit that we had the opportunity to see it only once. However, the whole exchange will be printed in my memory as one of my best experiences so far. I’m very grateful I had an opportunity to take part in such a wonderful project and meet these adorable people.
I would recommend such a trip to my friends. It was a great opportunity for me to
meet many inspiring people and I am grateful to have been given such a chance.
Lea, 17 years old, “Mindful Youth” youth exchange, Kőröshegy Hungary

The project was an amazing experience, I’ve learned a lot about assertiveness and setting my own rules.
I’ve met amazing people and improved my English. I was also fascinated by the local nature, especially Lake Balaton. I’d like to thank LEVEL UP very much for the opportunity to participate in the exchange and I recommend Erasmus+ exchanges to everyone.
I highly recommend it, it is the best option for meeting people from different countries and developing yourself in every respect.
